You may or may not know that Kempston Controls will soon be celebrating the 1st anniversary of the opening of our warehouse facility in Earls Barton, Northamptonshire. This state of the art distribution hub features a massive 27000 square feet of storage, with millions of pounds worth of stock, and tens of thousands of individual product lines all ready and waiting to be dispatched to you today.
Order Accuracy
This modern global distribution centre is packed with modern features, such as an in-house developed app that the staff utilise when scanning and picking customer orders, all backed up by a video monitored packing process to ensure that the correct items are sent to the right customer in perfect condition. This state of the art installation means this innovative system has resulted in a packing accuracy of 99.7%. A staggering feat considering this modern facility, with over 25 members of staff, deals with over 500+ orders on any given day, and that daily figure is rapidly growing!
Delivery, Collections and a Trade Counter!
A host of delivery options include standard and express services, international delivery, as well as next day, same day and Saturday delivery. There is also a very secure keypad entry locker facility outside the premises which allows customers to collect their orders whenever they wish. For production line emergencies the Kempston Controls warehouse team also offer a specialist ‘Out of Hours’ ordering service where customers can get those vital industrial components delivered the same day, helping to keep those production lines alive. This extra service runs from 5pm to 8am during the working week and all day during the weekends.
A trade counter was also recently opened too, allowing customers to click and collect their orders during normal opening hours, along with a selection of handy grab and go components on display in the foyer. And that’s not all! As well as being a superb warehouse it also features reams of office space where the financial and product information hub is located, along with training rooms where our training company INTACS carries out dedicated industrial product training courses. Oh, and after all of that there is also a gym for staff use!
Still not enough? This modern warehouse also serves as a showcase for Kempston Controls very own lighting solutions. A super-efficient LED lighting system that provides a range of user friendly, cost effective, energy efficient and environmentally friendly benefits.
