Communication and Programmability

This capable safety control system means that you can depend on just one single piece of hardware to establish a connection to all common industrial Fieldbus systems should you so wish. To take your control and safety systems up the next level, the PROTECT PSC1 range can also be equipped with a universal communication interface ensuring secure remote-IO communication with secure cross-communication at the same time.

Within each of the family groups, the PSC1-C-10 and PSC1-C-100, there is an impressive range of safety controllers with additional communication and control options such as Ethernet-based Fieldbus, integrated safe drive monitoring (SDM) and so much more.

PSC1 Safety Controllers

The SafePLC2 easy-to-use programming software, available separately, provides the user with a library packed development orientated environment making it easy to select and set up different Fieldbus protocols for the safe monitoring of sensors and axes. The libraries contained within the software can be easily linked via drag & drop so you can build complex applications quickly and simply.

The PSC1 system begins with two basic models, the PSC1-C-10 and the PSC1-C-100.

The PCS1-C-10 Basic Model Features:

  • 14 safe inputs up to PL e respectively SIL 3
  • 4 adjustable safe semiconductor outputs: 2 A p-switching or p-/n-switching
  • 2 safe relay outputs for 24 VDC or 230 VAC, 2 A
  • 2 signalling outputs, 250 mA
  • 2 pulse outputs (clock outputs) for contact sensors
  • Modular expandable with up to 2 I/O expansion modules (central/decentralised)
  • Optional expansions: Universal communication interface, memory card (SDHC), safe drive monitoring
  • LED display
  • 22 safety controller versions to choose from

The PCS1-C-100 Basic Model Features:

  • 20 adjustable safe in-/outputs up to PL e respectively SIL 3, 2 A p-switching
  • 4 adjustable safe semiconductor outputs: 2 A p-switching or p-/n-switching
